Strengths: Good all around athlete blessed with great upper body strength and decent leaping ability Despite being such a dominating scorer, Johnson is a really patient player who lets the game come to him Crafty scorer who uses a number of hesitation and pumpfakes to initiate contact from opposing defenders Has three point range on his jumper Unselfish player with decent court vision which allows for him to create scoring opportunities for his teammates Solid mid-range shooter from 18 feet from the basket Upper body strength allows for him to drive to the basket absorb contact and finish Has really learned how to work off screens where he has developed into a quality shooter off the dribble Defensively Johnson displays quick hands to play the passing lanes for easy steals Ball handling ability shows good promise as despite pressure will bring the ball up with few problems Finishes well on the break or in transition Possesses a good feel for the game and makes quality decisions in the flow of the game Solid rebounder who battles for position on rebounds
Weakness: Defensively Johnson struggles to defend players who are great athletes Even more glaring is that his arms are not all that long and his lateral quickness appears to be a step below even on the collegiate level Shot selection can be questionable at times Will be viewed by some as a tweener while listed at 6-5 upon appearance he looks to 6-4 to 6-3 1/2 which will likely raise concerns Lacks the playmaking ability to play point guard and inability to defend could hold him back from playing shooting guard in the NBA Athleticism isnt all that great and could limit him from being able to get his shot off Perimeter shooting remains a work in progress Doesnt always move without the ball often Johnson will try to post up his man then turnaround and create his offense Has received some hype, but Johnson is reaching the ceiling of his potential has great scoring numbers, but those are coming against low competition level at Jackson State ...

NBA Comparison: Allen Ray
Strengths: A strong bodied combo guard with a smooth offensive game … He is a very good slasher and can find his way to the basket with consistency … Off the dribble he is dangerous because he has a well refined handle and can use a nice mix of moves to break his defender down ... He knows how to use his body to shield the ball on penetration, as well as when he finishes at the basket ... Not afraid of contact, he looks to attack the help defense and can finish strong at the basket ... Has become a very steady playmaker, he was asked to carry a heavy load in his senior season ... He keeps his head up and looks to make the right play ... Shows a good shooting stroke, and can be dangerous when he gets into a rhythm ... Has proven to be a solid defender, and has the tools to carry it over to the next level ...
Weaknesses: Suffered a serious knee injury during his sophomore season ... Had discipline problems causing him to miss some time ... Has not been able to find consistency with his shooting or scoring ... His release is a bit slow and he tends to hang too long before releasing ... Extremely turnover prone, he plays out of control and does not make good decisions ... His miserable end to the season hurts his chances ...
Strengths: Tremendous spot-up 3-point shooter with range beyond the NBA line Has one of the quickest first steps in the college game. Can get to the rim at will and has very good leaping ability Draws fouls very well Is a lock down defender who's motor never stops running. Usually guards the opponents best perimeter player Despite being one of the more talented players on the court, Dyson does not shy away from getting on the ground after loose balls. He often chases down opponents and gets steals from behind after his team misses a shot or commits a turnover Came on very strong at the end of the season, scoring 20 points or more in 5 of UConns last 7 games ... Extremely tough and competitive, won't back down from anyone ... Very fast player, excels in transition and in the full court game ...
Weaknesses: Gets very little lift on his jumpshot. At 63, that could pose as a problem in the NBA Dyson can catch and shoot all day and is exceptional at driving to the basket, but he lacks the intermediate game necessary to be a successful 63 shooting guard at the next level Showed some progress in creating his own shot late in the season, when he began to put the ball on the floor and pull up for mid-range jumpshots. He still needs to become a lot more consistent in that facet of the game ... Is often out of control when he drives to the hoop and has a tendency to pick up offensive fouls that can be avoided Needs to improve his shot selection. Dyson shot just 36.1% from the field last season, most of which can be attributed to the large quantity of forced shots he took. At times he tries to do too much, but he should mature as a player in the coming years under Calhoun Shot an underwhelming 72% from the free throw line last season Was considered to be skinny coming into his freshman year, but since then he has put on some muscle. From an athletic standpoint, Dyson is ready to play in the NBA, but he could stand to put on 5-10 more pounds.

SEAN BROOKS
College: Drexel University
Height/Weight: 6'6" (???) 250 lbs
Birthdate: October 3, 1982
OffenseSean is a very impressive inside presence. He understands how to use his body and position himself. He has a very good arsenal of inside moves and is able to overpower his defender. He has a good understanding of the game and is a very unselfish low-post player who likes to dish the ball to the open man when the defense collapses on him. Sean runs the floor well and is a very active player who is not afraid of any contact.
Defense
Defensively Sean is a tough match up for Power Forwards and Centers. He reads the opposing offense very well and makes it tough for his opposing player to get into the position that he wants to be in. Sean attacks the board for rebounds and will sacrifice his body to get results and to outplay his opponent.
MARQUS BLAKELY
College: Vermont
Height/Weight: 6'4 3/4" 219 lbs
Birthdate: October 22, 1988
Strenghts: An outstanding athlete ... He put himself on the college basketball map when he had one of the year’s most exciting dunks in 2007 as a freshman during the American East Championship game vs. Albany which was nationally televised ... As a sophomore, he garnered both the America East Player of the Year and America East Defensive Player of the Year, which had never been accomplished before in league history .. A quick leaper as his 2.9 blocks per game will attest to ... Able to guard both wing and post players effectively ... Offensively, he attacks the rim with an attitude and as a result he gets to the free throw line quite often ... He is very crafty around the rim and finishes most of his shots (58.3% from the field) ... He could be intriguing to some NBA teams looking for defensive help, where Blakely could be very effective guarding a couple different positions.
Weaknesses: His offensive perimeter skills are very raw ... He is uncomfortable handling the ball on the wing ... He rarely puts the ball to the floor more than once or twice ... Also, he has yet to show any consistency shooting the ball outside of 12 feet ... Ball handling and outside shooting are two aspects of his game that must improve if he is going to have any shot at making an NBA roster ... At the college level, his game resides strictly in the paint. At only 6-5, he will not be able to have continued success down in the post as he will be extremely undersized. Poor free throw shooter as well (59%).
